West at Work is a partnershipproject that coordinates employment and skills activity across a variety of public sector agencieswith the aim ofsupporting local businesses and economic growth.

Workingacross the Westof Englandwe ensure that tailored and coordinated employment and training support is specifically developed to meet local needs and respond to changes in the economy. This includes help and information for businesses, training and advice for individuals, and work with investors.

The West at Work project is runby the West of England Partnership and its work is directed by the Skills and Competitiveness Board. The projectis also, in part,financially supported throughthe European Social Fund (ESF).

Other partnerorganisations who support the project are: the South West Regional Development Agency, Jobcentre Plus, Business Link, Connexions, Nextstep, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council, South Gloucestershire Council, ACAS, South West TUC, City of Bristol College (representing all local training providers), UWE Bristol and Government Office South West.
