The expansion of Bristol city centre covers 36 acres of mixed use space including a variety of retail, leisure and restaurant units which are all due to open for business in autumn 2008. There will be 15 major stores including House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols and more than 100 news shops. There will also be a 3,000 seat, 13 screen cinema and a 150 bedroom hotel.

New public spaces, 2,600 parking spaces and more than 270 new homes will complete the redevelopment of the heart of the city.

More than 4,000 jobs will be created by the development and training courses aimed at making sure local people have the skills needed to fill the jobs have already started.

Branded Retail Ambition these courses cover areas such as effective customer service, personal effectiveness, teamwork and Interview techniques.
